Urheilucast: Here is the top candidate for HIFK’s new GM
Helsinki IFK is currently looking for a new sports director to replace Janne Pesonen, who was dismissed from the position mid-season.
Urheilucast’s Esko Seppänen highlights three names in his podcast, claiming that IFK has been in contact regarding the position.
– Pelicans’ Janne Laukkanen has reportedly already been to Töölö for an initial job interview at this stage, so at least moderate steps have been taken towards the next recruitment rounds, Seppänen claims.
According to Urheilucast, IFK has also inquired about the willingness of Jukka Jalonen, who will leave the position of head coach of the Italian national team after the spring World Championships, for the role, but so far without results.
The club has also been in contact with Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt, whose contract with the Rauma team continues into next season.
