TPS suffers a terrible setback – star forward sidelined
TPS will have to manage without one of its star forwards in Saturday’s Liiga round. The Turku team’s Austrian forward Lukas Haudum, 29, will be missing from the lineup as TPS faces Ässät in Pori.
Haudum has been one of the key players in TPS’s offensive play this season. He has accumulated 11 points in 11 Liiga games with a score of 5+11=16. Haudum is TPS’s second most effective player and fourth in the entire Liiga scoring chart.
Haudum has played in the strong first line of TPS alongside Lukas Wernblom and Lars Bryggman this season. The entire trio is in the top ten of the Liiga scoring chart. In Saturday’s match, Joel Määttä will take Haudum’s place as the first center.
TPS also receives an important reinforcement back into its lineup, namely the team’s number one goalie Eetu Mäkiniemi returns to the net. He left the HIFK match early on Wednesday and was absent from the lineup on Friday.
