TPS head coach Toni Söderholm condemned Oliver Lauridsen’s dirty hit: “I think so too”
The head coach of TPS, Toni Söderholm, commented in an interview with MTV Katsomo on the situation that has stirred the entire league last Saturday.
TPS veteran defender Oliver Lauridsen was handed an eight-game suspension for a headshot against Petteri Riihinen of Ässät.
According to Söderholm, the long suspension was completely justified.
– The hit was unnecessary. Toughness and all. We all agree that none of us want to see such injuries on the ice at that moment or any other.
Söderholm stated that Lauridsen himself shares the same view.
– Yes, “Olli” himself thinks that it was a weak situation and hopefully nothing worse happened. It was not good, Söderholm commented.
