The lock secured a double youth Finnish champion – two-year contract
Rauman Lukko announced a new extension on Thursday evening.
The league club states on its website that forward Lenni Hämäläinen, 23, will continue in Rauma for the next two seasons. Hämäläinen has played 88 regular season games, 10 playoff games, and 16 CHL games in Lukko’s jersey. He has accumulated 21 points in these games.
– Lenni wanted to stay in Rauma and we really wanted Lenni to stay here, Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt says in the club’s statement.
– We believe and know that Lenni’s best years are of course ahead of him and he will be able to help us win in the future, but of course even right now Lenni is someone who helps us succeed, Sahlstedt continues.
Hämäläinen has been part of winning two SM gold medals for Lukko’s U20 team (2021 and 2022). The forward has played 20 games in the league this season with stats of 2+2.
