Finnish forward Robert Leino is moving to the Czech top league for the next season. Czech media iSport reports that the 32-year-old Leino has signed a contract with Kometa Brno for the 2026–27 season.

Leino is currently playing his first season in Switzerland with EHC Kloten. His contract with the club ends after the current season. Brno is said to have considered acquiring Leino even before the transfer window closed, but the transfer did not take place at that time. Tappara has also been reported to be interested in the Finnish player.

This season, Leino has accumulated 8+17 points in 48 games with Kloten.

Before moving to Switzerland, Leino played several seasons in Sweden’s SHL. In the league, he has represented Ilves, HPK, and HIFK.
