Max Ellis, 25, a forward who had an effective season with Mikkelin Jukurit, is continuing his career in the KHL.
The Russian site Sport-Express reports that Ellis has signed a one-year KHL contract with the Chinese team Shanghai Dragons (formerly Kunlun Red Stars).
Ellis played only 25 games last season with Jukurit due to injury. The American recorded a total of 8+10=18 points in the regular season.
Before joining Jukurit, Ellis played for two seasons in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies.
