Expressen reports that defender Peetro Seppälä, 25, is returning to the domestic Liiga next season as he joins the Rauman Lukko team.

For the last two seasons, Seppälä has played in Sweden’s SHL with Örebro, but he was unable to secure his place as a key player on the team.

Seppälä is originally from Kuusankoski and is a product of KooKoo. He played in the Liiga for the Kouvola team for five seasons from 2017 to 2022.

Before his time in Sweden, Seppälä tried his luck in North America with the Seattle Kraken organization, but two seasons in the AHL did not lead to an NHL spot. Additionally, Seppälä has represented the Finnish national team, where he has played 12 games in his career.
