SK: Sport has secured two reinforcements from other Liiga clubs!
Vaasan Sport has made two defensive signings for their team next season, reports Satakunnan Kansa.
According to SK, Ässät’s Valtteri Viljanen and HPK’s Kalle Kangas will join Sport for the next season.
Viljanen, 32, is a product of Ässät. He returned to the club last season after playing for one and a half seasons in the SHL with Rögle. This season, Viljanen has recorded 14 points (3+11) in 42 games.
Viljanen has previously represented Sport in his career from 2018 to 2023. In the league, he has also played for Ilves. He has a total of 555 regular season games in the league (41+134=175) and 17 playoff games (4+3).
Kangas, 21, is currently in his second season with HPK. He has played 50 games this season with 4 points (0+4). Kangas won a silver medal with the Young Lions at the World Championships in 2025.
