JYP faces KooKoo in the league on Friday. The puck drops in Jyväskylä at 18:30.
JYP has received some bad news ahead of the match. The team’s star defenseman Sami Vatanen will be absent from the lineup.
Vatanen had played in every JYP match this season until now. He has recorded 39 points in 51 games with 8 goals and 31 assists. Vatanen is second in the league’s defensemen scoring list.
JYP is currently missing several key players. Santeri Huovila, Leevi Tukiainen, Juuso Puustinen, Pekka Jormakka, Eetu Peltola, and Tobias Winberg are also currently out of the lineup.
On Friday, JYP will welcome back Teemu Erosen, who has been out since the beginning of January, as well as Antti Tyrväinen, who has served his suspension.
