Nimet paperissa – Antti Saarela’s next season Liiga team has been revealed!
Forward Antti Saarela continues his career with Lukko. The Rauma club announced on Thursday that they have made a contract extension with their own product lasting until the spring of 2027.
This season, the 24-year-old Saarela has played 46 games in the Liiga and recorded stats of 13+23=36, making him the fourth most effective player on his team.
– It is of course wonderful that our own product, who has risen to be one of our most important forwards, continues here. A really great and important contract, both for the club and certainly for Lukko’s supporters, says Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt.
Although home in Rauma is important, it is not the only reason why Saarela, who hails from Laitila, wants to continue with Lukko.
– Next season, there will be a really competitive team, and with that, always the possibility to achieve something. Playing here has been really enjoyable, and I have gradually found my game better and better, Saarela says.
– In the spring, I will be leaving to serve in the military sports team, so it is nice to have a home in Rauma. It always provides a place to return to that feels like home, the forward continues.
