KalPa’s star forward Juuso Mäenpää was injured in the match against JYP on Saturday.
The sports director of the Kuopio club, Anssi Laine, confirmed to MTV Sports that Mäenpää will not be fit to play on Tuesday when KalPa faces TPS in Turku.
– The doctors’ examinations are still ongoing, so I can’t say exactly how long he will be out. We’ll wait patiently, and we will surely have information by the end of the week, Laine commented to MTV.
Mäenpää, 23, had just been sidelined for about a month due to the injury. He played only his fourth game after returning on Saturday before he had to sit out again.
Mäenpää is KalPa’s third most effective player. He has recorded 31 points with 8 goals and 23 assists in 32 games this season.
