The league’s top scorer from last season Max Ellis continues his career in Russia.
The Chinese KHL team Shanghai Dragons announces that they have traded Ellis to the Russian team HK Sochi. The Dragons received a financial compensation for the player.
Last season, Ellis played 25 regular season games with Jukurit, scoring 8+10=18 points. The 25-year-old Canadian was sidelined for a large part of the season due to injury.
This season, Ellis has recorded 4+0 points in 16 games in the KHL wearing the Dragons’ jersey.
