JYP star Teemu Eronen: long sick leave

JYP will have to manage without its star defender Teemu Eronen for a long time.
According to the injury report published on JYP’s official website, Eronen, 34, who served as the team’s captain last season, will be out of games for the next 6-8 weeks.
Eronen was JYP’s most effective defender last season and the second most effective scorer with a performance of 10+29=39 in 57 games.
Also sidelined from the Jyväskylä team are Joona Lehmus (2-3 weeks) and Tobias Winberg (1-2 weeks).
JYP opens its Liiga season today, Wednesday, with a home game against Ilves.
