Last season’s power player for the Jukurit, Max Ellis, 25, continues his career in the KHL.
Ellis is moving to the Shanghai Dragons on a contract that covers next season. Ellis’s last season in the league was disrupted, as the American was sidelined for a large part of the season due to injury. The 175 cm winger still scored 18 points with 8 goals and 10 assists in 25 regular season games.
In addition to familiar players from the league, the team formerly known as Kunlun Red Star will also feature Adam Clendening, Nick Merkley, and goaltender Patrik Rybar next season.
