Jokerit surprised: trade with Liiga club!
Helsinki Jokerit and Mikkeli Jukurit made a surprising goalie trade on Wednesday. The Mestis team Jokerit adds Eetu Anttila to their roster, while the Liiga team Jukurit gains Sisu Heikkeri. Both transfers are loan agreements for the remainder of the season.
The 26-year-old Anttila has played 44 regular season games in Liiga with a save percentage of 88.6.
– Eetu brings a lot of experience and confidence heading into the playoffs, Jokerit’s sports director Olli-Pekka Yrjänheikki said in the club’s statement.
The transfer offers Heikkeri the opportunity to test Liiga speed for the remainder of the season.
– At the same time, we wish Sisu good luck for the rest of the season. He now has a great opportunity to try out Liiga speed, Yrjänheikki continued.
