Pelicans’ Ryan Lasch was the league’s salary king last calendar year.
During his latest trip to Lahti, the 38-year-old American, who has spent two seasons there and surprisingly signed a contract with the Norwegian Vålerenga last spring, earned an income of 323,350 euros last year. Lasch has played 13 games in Norway this season with stats of 4+13=17.
Second place went to Reid Gardiner, who represented JYP and Kärpät last season, earning just over 316,400 euros during the last calendar year.
The 29-year-old Canadian forward also shook off the dust of Finland from his skates after the season and headed to the SHL, where the skilled player has scored for Växjö Lakers at nearly a point-per-game pace.
