Antti Tyrväinen misbehaved – Tappara’s star got injured: “Ugly tackle”
In the League’s Wednesday highlight match between Tappara and JYP, an unfortunate injury was witnessed when Antti Tyrväinen, playing his second match for Jyväskylä, tackled Tappara’s star forward Kristian Tanus harshly into the boards in the opening period of the game.
Tanus was injured in the incident and did not return to the ice. No further information about his condition has been disclosed to the public so far.
Aapeli Räsänen, who shone as the guarantor of Tappara’s 6-3 victory with stats of 3+1 in the match, condemned Tyrväinen’s act in an MTV Sports post-match interview.
– A really unfortunate injury for Tanus. From that upper cube, it certainly looked like an ugly situation, an ugly tackle. Hopefully, the gentleman is okay and won’t have a long break, Räsänen commented on his teammate’s injury.
A longer absence for Tanus would be a big loss for Tappara, as the 25-year-old winger has collected 20 points with 3+17 in 24 matches this season. Tyrväinen received a 5+20 minute penalty for his action.
