Aatos Koivu astonishes in North America – NHL super prospects were left harshly in second place!
The Montreal Canadiens’ drafted forward Aatos Koivu has been absolutely unstoppable with the Finnish under-20 national team at the World Junior Summer Showcase tournament.
The Young Lions defeated a USA team filled with NHL super prospects with a crushing score of 6-3 on Saturday. Koivu scored two goals in the match. He has now scored six goals in four games of the tournament.
Koivu’s scorching hot form has also been noted across the pond.

His ability to create opportunities makes him an extremely dangerous player. Young Lions’ Matias Vanhanen and Daniel Nieminen combined for four points each in the game. Vanhanen had 1+3 and Nieminen 0+4. Jasper Kuhta also scored twice.
Finland will face Sweden late on Saturday in the final match, which has won all four of its tournament games.
