The opponent of the Jokers in the final receives a loan reinforcement from the Liiga.
Pori Ässät loans goalkeeper Pyry Lammi, 18, on a temporary contract to Imatran Ketterä for the Mestis finals.
The transfer windows for the Liiga and Mestis have long since closed. In its announcement, Ässät explains how a loan during the playoffs is still possible.
– The transfer is made possible by the young players’ transfer list, to which Ässät named its goalkeeper. A Liiga club can name players aged U18 or younger, who can transfer freely between clubs even after February 15, 2026, until the end of the Mestis playoffs, Ässät states in its announcement.
Lammi had a strong season with Ässät’s U20 team. He was named the best goalkeeper of the league. The 18-year-old goalkeeper had a save percentage of 92.5 in 30 games.
The final series between Imatran Ketterä and Jokers begins on Saturday, March 28 at 5:00 PM.
