Source: The Finnish player drafted by the NHL remained in a small role in the League – moving abroad
Jukurien defender Sebastian Soini, 20, is moving to Sweden. According to Expressen, Soini is close to signing with Visby/Roma, which plays in Allsvenskan. The transfer is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
Soini joined Jukurit for this season but has been in a minor role with the team. He has played seven games without scoring any points. Additionally, he has appeared in two games this season with Ässät on a loan agreement a couple of weeks ago.
Previously, Soini represented Ilves in Liiga. Last season, he recorded 3+4 points in 40 Liiga games.
Soini represented the Young Lions at the U20 World Championships in 2025 and helped win a silver medal in the tournament. Soini is a 5th round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild from 2024.
Visby/Roma has started its season poorly in Allsvenskan. After 12 games, it is in second to last place with only nine points. The team has already conceded 53 goals.
