Source: Alex Lintuniemi returns to the League!
Hokej.cz site’s information indicates that defender Alex Lintuniemi is returning to Finland after five years spent abroad. Lintuniemi, who has played five seasons in the Czech league, is leaving Mladá Boleslav, which announced the departure of nine players on Monday.
According to Hokej site, Lintuniemi’s new team in the Liiga has already been agreed upon, but it has not yet been made public. There are rumors that he is heading to Jokerit.
The 30-year-old Lintuniemi has previously played in the Liiga for Pelicans and JYP. He also has experience abroad from the KHL and AHL.
Lintuniemi has also been seen in the national team: he has played three games with the Lions in the EHT. In younger age groups, he has represented Finland in the U20 and U18 World Championships and won a U18 World Championship bronze medal.
