Rauman Lukko has acquired American forward Connor Ford from Mikkeli Jukurit on a loan agreement for the remainder of the season.
Ford, 28, is playing his first season in Finland. This season, he has recorded a total of 23 points (8+15) in 40 games with Jukurit.
– We have practically played the entire season with 14 forwards, and now that the pace of the games is increasing, we wanted to secure a player of high caliber who brings reliability and versatility, Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt commented in a statement.
Ford has played in Europe for three seasons. Before moving to Europe, he played two seasons in the AHL with the Henderson Silver Knights.
