IS: Ilves’ Carl Klingberg changes teams in the Liiga – here is the new address!
The Swedish forward of Ilves, Carl Klingberg, is changing teams in the Liiga. According to Ilta-Sanomat, Klingberg will join the ranks of Porin Ässät for the next season.
Klingberg, 35, joined Ilves during the last season from Frölunda. He played 39 regular season games with a scoring record of 13+17=30 and 11 playoff games with 5+3 points. The season ended with a bronze medal.
This season, Klingberg was selected as the alternate captain of Ilves. He has suffered from an injury this season and therefore played only 30 regular season games with a scoring record of 6+6=12.
Throughout his career, Klingberg has participated in three World Championships and two Olympics wearing the Swedish jersey. He won the world championship in 2017.
In his career, Klingberg has played 12 NHL games, scoring one goal. He has also played in Switzerland for seven seasons, winning two championships.
