IL: A new center for Olli Jokinen’s HIFK – already next week!
HIFK is set to receive a new reinforcement in the attack. According to sports director Janne Laukkanen, the club has lines in the water, and a new center will join the team by next week at the latest, Iltalehti reports.
The need for a center is acute, as Jori Lehterä‘s surprising retirement has left a big gap in HIFK’s center position.
The Helsinki club’s acquisitions may not be limited to just one player. According to previous information from Iltalehti, HIFK may be looking for as many as two new centers.
The start of the season for HIFK, led by Olli Jokinen, has been difficult. The team has won only two of its eight matches and is currently in 15th place in the league standings.
