The foreign reinforcement of the league team was a complete flop – now it’s time to leave!
The Slovak forward Andrej Kukuca, acquired by HPK for this season, is leaving the Hämeenlinna club after just the start of the season.
HPK announces that it has terminated the player contract of the 26-year-old forward by mutual agreement. Kukuca managed to play only 17 Liiga games for the club, scoring one goal.
Kukuca arrived in Hämeenlinna from the top league in Slovakia with a 1+1 year contract. The forward had seven seasons behind him in his home country’s top league, where he accumulated 304 regular season games with stats of 68+65=133.
Last season, the 190 cm Slovak scored 13 goals and a total of 23 points in 53 games. However, he struggled to find the net in Finland.
Kukuca’s only Liiga goal came against HIFK.
