The KooKoo team, stuck at the bottom of the league standings, has made a new player acquisition. The Kouvola club announces that it has signed a contract for the rest of the season with 29-year-old American forward Ture Linden.

Linden has played the beginning of the season in the Slovakian top league with HK Dukla Trencin. Now his career continues for the first time in the Finnish Liiga.

KooKoo’s sports director Antti Tuomenoksa highlights especially the new recruit’s offensive skills.

– Linden is a versatile player who can play both center and wing and can help the team in all game situations. He has good attributes in the offensive zone and is strong in face-offs. Additionally, he has consistently been one of his team’s best scorers, Tuomenoksa describes his acquisition in the announcement.

Before his stint in Slovakia, Linden played in Sweden’s Allsvenskan and Germany’s DEL2 league. In North America, he has played college hockey as well as in the ECHL league.

However, KooKoo will still have to wait for their new forward’s arrival. Linden’s permit process is still ongoing, and he has not yet been able to travel to Finland.
