Significant contract news from the league club – secured a fan favorite!
Kiekko-Espoo has signed a two-year extension with Swedish defender Arvid Aronsson.
Aronsson, 28, has played for Kiekko-Espoo for the past one and a half seasons. Last season, he recorded 15 points (5+10) in 52 games for the club.
Aronsson moved to Kiekko-Espoo from Linköping during the middle of the previous season. In the SHL, he has also represented Frölunda and Örebro, but most of his career has been spent in Allsvenskan.
Aronsson has become a favorite among the Espoo audience with his performances and personality.
– It’s a matter of the heart to continue in Espoo. I have really enjoyed my time here for the past couple of years, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings. Continuing here was an easy decision for me. I received inquiries from elsewhere, but as my father said, if you are valued somewhere and a place feels like home, the choice is easy. Thank you to the people of Espoo who have warmly welcomed me into this community. Home is precious. I am an Espoo resident now and in the future, Aronsson commented in Kiekko-Espoo’s statement.
