It was there – The NHL prospect from the league club is leaving!
Mikkelin Jukurit sends Sebastian Soini to Sweden. The 20-year-old Finnish prospect moves to HockeyAllsvenskan’s Visby/Roma on a loan agreement that is valid until further notice.
Soini has played seven Liiga games for Jukurit this season without any points. Additionally, he had a two-game loan stint with Ässät. In Jukurit’s last two games, the defender was completely left out of the lineup.
Last season, Soini had significantly more responsibility with Ilves. He played 40 regular-season games for the Tampere team, scoring 3+4=7 points.
Soini is a fifth-round NHL draft pick of the Minnesota Wild from the summer of 2024. The Wild selected the 190-centimeter defender as the 140th player of the entire draft event. Soini has also represented Finland in the under-20 World Championships.
