Tappara will have to manage without Swedish forward Emil Sylvegård for the next few weeks.
Aamulehti reports that the 32-year-old winger is scheduled for surgery on Friday, and the 188-centimeter and nearly hundred-kilogram Swede will not be seen in action for a while.
– I can officially confirm that he will be out for several weeks due to the injury, Tappara’s manager Janne Vuorinen confirms.
Familiar from Sweden’s EHT teams, Sylvegård moved to Tappara this season from SHL’s Växjö Lakers. The forward, who has played his entire previous career in Sweden, has recorded 3+5=8 points in 24 games.
