1-10! Tappara slaughtered the reigning Finnish champion – Kristian Tanus raged with monster stats
Tappara organized one of the most horrific massacres in its club history against the reigning Finnish champion KalPa during Friday’s Liiga round.
The Tampere team scored a staggering 9-1 lead on the scoreboard in the first two periods. In the final period, the visitors embellished the numbers and even hit a ten, ultimately winning the match 10-1. This is also the largest victory of the season in the Liiga.
Tappara’s powerhouse was the monster night performer Kristian Tanus (1+3), who extended his points streak in consecutive games to 18 matches. Other key players included Joachim Blichfeld (2+1) and Kasper Simontaival (2+1). Four players also reached two points each.
Tappara has taken a strong grip over KalPa this season. The previous meeting between the teams in September ended with Tappara’s 8-1 home victory.
