IS: Jesse Puljujärvi dreams of returning to the NHL rink – “My situation has never been this good”
This year’s gold lion, Jesse Puljujärvi, 28, told Ilta-Sanomat about his summer feelings.
After the World Championship, the forward will return to his club team Genève-Servette’s group training at the beginning of August.
– My training has focused on developing speed and the first steps, the forward commented to IS about his preparation for the upcoming season.
Last season, Puljujärvi scored 52 points in as many games in the Swiss league.
The NHL still shines brightly in his mind, but a return is not on the agenda at least for the upcoming season, which he will play in Switzerland.
– I am healthy and understand better than before what it takes from training and daily life to get the best out of myself as an athlete. In that sense, my situation has never been this good, Puljujärvi told IS.
