Antti Raanta, 36, made a decision about the continuation of his career
Rauman Lukko announced a significant contract news on Christmas Eve. Goaltender Antti Raanta, 36, continues with Lukko on a one-year contract.
– Returning to Rauma and Lukko has been a great thing for both myself and my family. Everyone has been happy here, in a familiar environment. When traveling around the world, there has always been a certain level of uncertainty about things, but now everyday life has settled down and everyone has enjoyed it, Raanta says in Lukko’s statement.
– And of course, it’s a big deal that playing for Lukko excites and motivates a lot, as I already said last time, that the excitement of a little boy or the desire to succeed, especially in a Lukko jersey, has not faded away.
Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt is satisfied with the agreement.
– Now that we are heading into the greatest hockey season of all time, it’s a hell of a great thing to know at this point that we have a damn good goalie in net. It was very easy to offer him an extension and the negotiations with “Ana” were extremely easy and straightforward, Sahlstedt says.
Raanta has played 17 games in goal for Lukko this season. In those, his save percentage has been 90.0.
