TPS’s Swedish star: contract terminated!
TPS announced on Wednesday the departure of one of its foreign players.
The Turku club reports that it has terminated the contract of Swedish forward Tim Söderlund Leger, 28. Söderlund Leger, who joined TPS during the last season, played 35 games for the Turku team this season, achieving 6+5=11 points.
– The decision was made by mutual agreement. We saw that this is the best option for both parties at this point. We thank Timi for his contributions to Turun Palloseura, sports director Mika Suoraniemi states in the announcement.
Söderlund Leger joined TPS last November from the Czech top league team HC Plzen. The man’s first Liiga season went effectively as he scored 25 points (8+17) in 41 regular-season games.
Söderlund’s future club is not yet known.
