TPS: valuable foreign striker for sale!
TPS, competing for the last playoff spots in the league, has recently brought in two reinforcements from the French top league. Soon, the club may be facing departures again, this time outward.
According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, TPS’s Swedish winger Tim Söderlund, 28, is up for sale.
– Signs indicate that he is leaving the club before the transfer deadline on February 15, Expressen’s transfer review states.
– With Söderlund’s contract expiring this spring and the next season being crucial in Finland’s top league, TPS sees an opportunity to save money on Söderlund’s relatively high salary, and the 27-year-old player has therefore been offered to Swedish sports directors.
Söderlund’s season has clearly fallen short of expectations. He has played 35 matches and recorded modest stats of 6+5=11.
