The landscape changes – Finnish trio out of the Swedish team
IK Oskarshamn, playing in the second tier Allsvenskan in Sweden, announces nine departures. Among them are three Finnish players leaving the club: Teemu Lepaus, Joni Ikonen, and Samuel Salonen.
Lepaus, 33, recorded impressive points of 15+36=51 in 52 games this season. He ranked fourth in the entire Allsvenskan scoring list.
Ikonen, 26, scored points of 17+17=34 in 50 games. He was the team’s third most effective player in the regular season.
Salonen, 26, transferred from Jokerit to Oskarshamn in February. He managed to play nine regular season games with stats of 1+2.
Oskarshamn’s season ended in the quarter-finals, where Björklöven was stronger with a match score of 4-0. Lepaus and Ikonen did not score any points in the playoffs, while Salonen scored one goal.
In addition to the Finnish trio, Oskarshamn will also lose Olof Glifford, Victor Johansson, Hugo Jonasson, Kevin Karlsson, Hampus Karlsson, and Viggo Nordlund.
