Helsinki Jokerit has loaned forward Samuel Salonen to Sweden.

The team, making a return to the Liiga from the Mestis next season, announced on Thursday that the 25-year-old winger will move to IK Oskarshamn, which plays in Sweden’s second-highest league, on a loan agreement for the remainder of the season.

Salonen, who has represented the Jokers for the second season, stands 192 cm tall and has played 22 games this season, achieving 7+8=15 points. Last season, Salonen was one of the key players in Jokerit’s Mestis championship team. The forward scored 11+26=37 points in 47 regular-season games and 10+5=15 points in 11 playoff games.
