Pelicans reach an agreement with the Swedish giant
The Pelicans’ Liiga team announced their latest contract on Sunday.
The Lahti club stated on their website that they have signed a one-year extension with defender Hampus Falk, 28. The 190-centimeter Swedish player is known as a reliable two-way defenseman.
– The continuation of Hampus Falk with the Pelicans signifies trust, continuity, and a shared direction. The club gains a diligent, physical, and team-oriented defenseman who can still grow in his Liiga role. For the player, this is an opportunity to take a new step forward in his professional career, commented sports director Janne Laukkanen in the club’s announcement.
Falk, who moved from AIK, which played in Sweden’s second-highest league during the last season, played 27 regular-season games with 3+6=9 points. In the Liiga relegation phase, the Swede added another 10 games with 1+3=4 points.
