Juuso Hahl made a complete overhaul at Jokerit – Tomek Valtonen’s decision was overturned immediately
Juuso Hahl will make his debut as the head coach of Jokerit against HPK on Tuesday. Hahl has thoroughly changed the team’s lineup: no forward line or defensive pair is in the same form as in Saturday’s match.
A visible change concerns Matt Caito. The previous head coach Tomek Valtonen left the star defenseman in the stands twice last week, but Hahl is bringing him back into the playing lineup alongside Aleksi Elorinne.
Joining the top defensive pair is Riku Tuomola, who will play alongside Max Krogdahl. Tuomola was a defensive comet in the Mestis league last season.
In goal, Tomi Karhunen continues for the fifth consecutive game. Veini Vehviläinen is the backup goalie.
Jokerit’s lines against HPK:
Patrick Curry – Henri Nikkanen – Maxime Fortier
Markus Hännikäinen – Patrik Virta – Eetu Tuulola
Antti Kalapudas – Alexander Forslund – Aleksi Mustonen
Bruno Kallio – Miro Nalli – Jere Henriksson
Rasmus Lahnaviik
Riku Tuomola – Max Krogdahl
Aleksi Elorinne – Matt Caito
Valtteri Pulli – Oliver Larsen
Oskari Manninen
Goalies: Tomi Karhunen (Veini Vehviläinen)
