Jokers’ scoring machine: new team!
Finnish forward Samuel Salonen, 26, is moving to the Swedish club Almtuna IS for the 2026–2027 season. The club announced the contract on their website.
Salonen spent most of last season with the Mestis team Jokers and concluded his season on loan in HockeyAllsvenskan with IK Oskarshamn.
Salonen has played 171 games in the Liiga during his career, and in the most recent seasons, he played 69 games with the Jokers, where he accumulated stats of 18+34. Salonen was one of the fan favorites in the Jokers.
– It feels great to join Almtuna and get to play in Sweden. I really look forward to getting there, working with the team, and getting things started, Salonen commented on his move.
