Ilves threw the pack into chaos – a radical solution!
Tampereen Ilves is trying to turn the series against KalPa by making significant changes for the fifth quarterfinal match. The starting goalkeeper will be Dominik Pavlat, who last played over three weeks ago, while the recently struggling Mantas Armalis moves to the bench.
The 33-year-old Armalis has played four games in the playoffs with a save percentage of 85.5 and an average of 3.04 goals allowed. In the regular season, Pavlat’s save percentage in 35 games was 89.22.
There are also changes in the forward lines: Olli Palola will join the lineup in place of Samuli Ratisen, and in the first line, Peter Quenneville will join Luke Henman and Matias Mäntykiven. Only the second line remains unchanged.
KalPa continues into the fifth game with the same lineup as before.
The match between Ilves and KalPa will be played on Wednesday at 18:30.
