Dominik Pavlat: new team!
The Czech goalkeeper Dominik Pavlat, who has played for Ilves for the last two seasons, is returning to his home country and will strengthen Rytíři Kladno starting next season.
Kladno announced on Monday the comprehensive contract for Pavlat for the next season. Pavlat will form a goalkeeper duo with Adam Brízgalan next season.
– I arrive here with great humility and really excited about this new opportunity, Pavlat commented on his transfer in the club’s announcement.
Kladno’s goalkeeper coach Radek Jirátko stated that the club was very interested in acquiring Pavlat.
– I know Dominik very well since the youth national teams. He is still a young and promising goalkeeper who has already proven his level in the Czech top league, the national team, and in Finland. We want to offer him the opportunity to continue his development in Kladno, Jirátko said.
In Finland, Pavlat played for Ilves for two seasons. In the 2024-25 season, he saved 29 games in the regular season with a save percentage of 91.0, and in the current season, he played a total of 35 games with a save percentage of 89.2.
