The Philadelphia Flyers have decided not to sign a rookie contract with Finnish-Swedish forward Santeri Sulku. As a result of this decision, his NHL rights have expired, and he will become a free agent.

Sulku, 21, was drafted by the Flyers in the seventh round of the 2022 NHL Draft. The team did not sign a contract by the deadline, so the draft rights automatically expired.

This season, Sulku played in the Liiga for KooKoo, appearing in 24 regular season games with a total of 7+9 points. In the playoffs, he recorded one assist.

Before his Liiga career, he played for Mestis teams Hermes and IPK.
